Guidelines, Prerequisites and Rules
If you are interested in joining our publication, please read this page. Each of our staff are required to follow the rules, guidelines and prerequisites on this page. These are also for new aspiring journalists and business enthusiasts that are interested in joining our publication.
We Prefer Students
That Strive To Succeed
We prefer high school students or rising into high school students. If you are not in high school, arrangements can be made. Please reach out if you are not in high school but are still interested. We want someone serious, someone that wants to learn and grow but at the same time will contribute to our publication. The more interest, effort, and time you put into writing and learning, the more you will get out.
You Need Zoom
And Text Message Access
You need to have Zoom and text message access for our team group chat. Harrison will most definitely meet with you if you are interested in writing for our publication through Zoom. It would be his pleasure to meet with you through Zoom and teach you how to plan, research, and write articles. In addition, our editors will be helping you work on your writing and support you with editing.
No Journalism Experience Required
Many publications with similar opportunities to ours are not accepting high schoolers because they only look for experienced and accomplished writers. We are not that kind of publication. We want to allow you to write about what business interest you, and we will work with you to help you reach your goals.
You Need A Gmail Account
We organize our articles and documents through Google Drive, so have an appropriate and professional Gmail email address.
Your Opinion Matters
We take pride in being an opinionated business editorial. Our publication is a writing and learning opportunity, so students will be able to cover what business they want to and present their opinion without facing exclusion. Our articles are written for students by students. Our goals are to help students learn about business and journalism, and this publication presents is the best opportunity to do so. Our articles are meant to teach other students about the world of business through a student lens, not a political lens.
Please Reach Out
We understand that starting in journalism can be harsh for you, so we are flexible with deadlines, and we want you to reach out. If you run into any issues or get stuck, email me at: HarrisonZuritsky3@gmail.com. However, if you act unprofessional or miss deadlines continuously, we will not be working with you. We chose high schoolers as our main prerequisite because most of you are mature. Please think twice before you do something impressional.
